Jones has quickly earned the trust of David Adelman, Denver's new head coach, becoming a regular rotation piece in the absence of Christian Braun. The sophomore forward has even started some games, proving himself worthy of the nod by locking up on defense.

"Spencer Jones came out of Stanford as a slightly boring prospect with a very clear role. As of now, he has filled that role as a 3-and-D wing for the Nuggets. He has played over some of their recent draft selections to start the season, which should indicate how Adelman feels about him. The numbers may never be flashy, but there is definitely room for a rotation player like Spencer Jones in the NBA."
Spencer Jones brought toughness for Denver on both ends tonight as he helped his team scrape out an overtime victory against the Rockets. Jones scored 11 points and blocked three shots, and he drilled two clutch threes late.

Ryan Nembhard and Spencer Jones both exploded for career highs tonight as their two teams faced off. Nembhard and the Mavs walked away with the victory, but both guys left winners from this game. Nembhard scored 28 points and dished out 10 assists, while Jones added 28 points of his own.

Spencer Jones, who's held a spot in the starting lineup for Denver as of late, built upon his awesome defensive foundation tonight by scoring a career-high 16 points and knocking down four threes. Solid shooting/scoring like what we saw tonight will go a long way for the sophomore as he looks to cement his rotation role.
