When he was with the Warriors, Quinones drew comparisons to then-teammate Jordan Poole because of his microwave scoring ability. The New York native can get hot in a jiffy, especially from beyond the arc. He averaged career-highs in points (6.6) and assists (1.8) while splitting time between the 76ers and the Pelicans last season.
Lester Quiñones continued his seven-game streak of scoring 20 or more points, finishing with 29 on 9/17 shooting from the field in a 129–107 loss for the Osceola Magic to the Cleveland Charge. He also added five rebounds and shot 4/10 from beyond the arc.

As part of a trade between Osceola, Birmingham, and Noblesville, Lester Quinones and Jalen Crutcher will be joining Orlando's G League affiliate for the upcoming season. Quinones recently signed a training camp deal with the Magic, while Crutcher played Summer League with the team. Additionally, Donta Scott and Jarrett Culver will join the Squadron (affiliate of the Pelicans) while Jalen Slawson goes to the Boom (affiliate of the Pacers).
Quinones will have the opportunity to compete for a standard or two-way roster slot. Orlando has one open two-way, with the others being occupied by Jamal Cain and Orlando Robinson. The team could use more perimeter creation in the backcourt, especially after Cole Anthony's departure, and Quinones could provide some. The three-year guard was waived by the Pelicans back in July.
