John Ukomadu won the G League's Slam Dunk Contest last week during All-Star break. The 6'8" forward began his G League career in the 2024-25 season after making the Motor City Cruise roster via open tryouts. He is averaging 10.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 25.9 minutes per game this season. He also holds the franchise record with 83 career blocks in his two seasons with the club.
